Double Order Catcher

Spots the same customer ordering twice in 24 hours and pauses shipping so you can combine or check.

What it does: When the same email places 2 or more orders within 24 hours, it pauses shipping on the new order, adds the tag double-order, and emails you a list of their recent orders. Then you can ship them together, catch an accidental double-buy, or spot a bot. It never cancels anything.

Why people want this: One owner pays for an app that "merges orders with the same billing and shipping info" and says "I would love to find a way to automate that through flow" (reddit.com/r/shopify/comments/1klvjla). Bots placing repeat orders were a big 2026 complaint too.

Install in 3 steps

  1. Import. In Shopify, open the Flow app → Import → pick the .flow file you downloaded.
  2. Type your email once. Click Edit (top right), click the Send internal email box, and replace you@yourstore.com with your email. Click Save.
  3. Turn on. Click Turn on workflow, then Turn on.

That's it. You need Shopify Basic or higher. Flow is free.

Limits

  • It waits 2 minutes after each order before checking. Shopify needs that moment to finish recording the order, so alerts arrive about 2 minutes after checkout. That's normal.
  • It matches by email address. Orders with no email are skipped.
  • It flags; it doesn't merge. You combine shipping by hand (one box, refund extra shipping if you like).
  • It looks back 24 hours.
