Late Order Radar

Every morning: orders not shipped after 2 days and shipments not delivered after 7, before customers ask.

What it does: Every morning at 7am you get one email with two lists: 1. Not shipped yet: paid orders still not shipped after 2 days. These get the tag late-unshipped. 2. Shipped but not delivered: orders shipped more than 7 days ago that the carrier hasn't marked delivered.

Then you can message those customers before they write "where is my order?".

Why people want this: "where is my order" emails are 40–60% of support for many stores, and a heads-up sent before the customer asks "probably cut my support emails by like 30-40%" (reddit.com/r/Entrepreneur/comments/1re6dvq).

Install in 3 steps

  1. Import. In Shopify, open the Flow app → Import → pick the .flow file you downloaded.
  2. Type your email once. Click Edit (top right), click the Send internal email box, and replace you@yourstore.com with your email. Click Save.
  3. Turn on. Click Turn on workflow, then Turn on.

That's it. You need Shopify Basic or higher. Flow is free.

Limits

  • The "not delivered" list only works when Shopify gets tracking updates from the carrier, i.e. a tracking number from a carrier Shopify supports. Orders marked fulfilled with no tracking show as "no tracking" so you can check them.
  • It looks at the 100 oldest orders in each list.
  • No email is sent on days when nothing is late.
  • Replaces "Stuck Orders Daily Digest". This does everything that one did, plus shipped-but-late orders.

Download, import, add your email, turn on. You download a Shopify Flow file, import it in Flow, type your email into the email step once (Shopify signs Flow files, so we can't prefill it), and turn it on. About 5 minutes. A manual step-by-step path is included too.
